McCall’s Future Looks Bright!

2017 proved¬†McCall is a resilient community and stronger than ever. Real estate is back, people are investing in our community and employment is in demand. It was a year to remember: real estate sales soared with multiple, multimillion dollar properties selling on the lake; locals celebrated when Valley County/Meadows Valley made the finalist list in Americas Best Communities;¬†coffee drinkers lined up when the first Starbucks opened in the newly renovated Albertson’s in McCall; 100s of people flocked to McCall to witness the total Solar Eclispe as it passed over our valley; a $10 million plus road improvement to Brundage Mountain was completed making access to the mountain much safer; Whitetail completed a beautiful member Lake Club House, and once again they took advantage of the stunning views at the Shore Lodge with the addition of the Cutwater Restaurant and renovation of The Bar and Narrows Restaurant; the city of McCall changed its tune, and for the first time, hired a women city manager; and enrollment at McCall public schools is at an all time high.

Going forward, there are many amazing projects in the future: St Lukes Hospital has committed to helping build a new hospital with state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology; the city of McCall has approved plans for a new 12,000 SF city library; plans for a performing arts and convention center located across from Legacy Park is well on its way to becoming a reality; the first extension of the mountain bike trail around the lake will open in 2018; an indoor gymnasium with a walking track will break ground this year; and McCall started the New Year with a splash in the Wall Street Journal titled: McCall Idaho Ski Spot without The Glitz.
All of this exciting news further improves our community, strengthens the economy and your investment in McCall and surrounding communities.
